Step 1. Create Labels
- Log in to your Gmail on the web
- ****Go to the vertical menu on the left > On the Labels section, select the + (Plus) sign
- In the New Label dialogue box, enter the Label name
- Select Create


Step 2. Create Filters
- In your Gmail on the web
- ****Go to top right corner and click the Settings button that appears like a Gear Icon
- Click See all settings
- Next go to Filters and blocked addresses
- Select Create a new filter
- Create Filter Parameters as preferred


Step 3. Set Filter Parameters
3a. Filter Dialog Box 1:
You can filter emails based on:
- From: Domain email is coming from e.g.: *[email protected]
- To: Domain email is going to
- Subject: Words in the title
- Has the words: Common words in the email to be included as a way of identifying an email
- Doesn’t have: Common words in the email to be excluded as a way of identifying an email
- Size: Size of email
- Attachment: Incase it has an attachment
Click Create filter
3b. Filter Dialog Box 2:
Actions to perform incase there is an email that matches criteria. Our main focus will be on:
- Skip the Inbox (Archive it)
- Apply the label
- Also apply filter to matching conversations
